"" Our last stop in Denmark is Copenhagen and we explore this beautiful city for a whole day on foot. So out of the boat and into the hustle and bustle of the city! Together with an infinite number of tourists, including the numerous cruise ships, we are moving from one sight to another. And yet we also find corners that are less crowded. Our favorite: the botanical garden, just before closing time. If you feel like it, come join us on our photo tour!

"Quickly
Quickly we recognize the colorful house fronts of shops and cafes from the prospects.

"We're
We’re not quite used to the sheer quantity of tourists.

"Many
Many old sailing vessels lie in the channels. In den Kanälen liegen viele Segelboote, hauptsächlich Traditionsschiffe.

"Many
Many nice photo opportunities for Mark. Mark findet viele schöne Motive.

"Later
Later on we find the reason for all the tourists: Cruise ships! Even one with sails.

"At
At the Charlottenburg Art exhibition the artist Ai Weiwei has obscured the windows with thousands of life vests from the countless refugees that cross the Mediterranean. We have see this depressing installation before, only in Berlin and this recognise it at a glance.

"This
This band of super heroes watches over the city from an windowsill. Dieses Superhelden-Trio schaut zum Fenster herraus.

"Occasionally
Occasionally we sneak into the many staircases 😉 Manchmal haben wir uns in die schönen Treppenhäuser geschlichen 🙂

"Hungry?
Hungry? Thirsty? (the fish looks a bit off) Hunger? Durst?

"We
We are quickly lured into the sticky and soft Danish red light district.

":)"
🙂

"Many
Many a mermaid greets us, this one looks very mean though. (and the occasional octopus) Wir finden immer wieder kleine Meerjungfrauen! (auch der gelegentliche Oktopus)

"And
And in many variations. In verschiedensten Ausführungen.

"Until
Until we finally find the original little mermaid perched on a rock still waiting for her prince.

"And
And this is what it looks like when all the tourists want to get a picture for the photoalbum.

"At
At the Amalienborg palice plaza the can watch as the guards change watches.

"In
In the event of a war these royal guard are supposed to defent the city.

"At
At a closer glance we can see that it’s the young recruits that get to do this ungrateful job in the summers sun. And covered with bear fur hats.

"Next
Next door we visit the rokoko style marble church.

"The
The largest dome in Skandinavia, modeled after St Peter’s church in Rome! Die große Kirchenkuppel von innen.

"We
We are all dust in the wind! Wir sind nur Staub im Wind.

"At
At the Kastellet we come across the fountain of nordic godess Gifjon. It stands for the mythical creation of the island of Zeeland. After which the King of Sweden granted Gifjon all the land she could plow in a single night. She immediately turned her 4 sons into oxen and plowed away. The earth she upturned got thrown into the sea between Fyn and Skane, now Zeeland and the trench left behind is now a lake west of Stockholm.

"Leth
Leth me thine thom lithe… Diese Drache sprach: Eff werfe Lifft…

"At
At the harbor we meet the organisation Plastic Change. They inform us about plastic in the ocean and in every day life. Thanks for the great talks!

"We're
We’re not alone with gathering trash from the beaches. Wir sind nicht allein beim Strand-Müll sammeln!

"Here's
Here’s to lookin’ at you babe – dove. Diese Taube hatte keinen Fluchtinstinkt. Eigentlich sehen sie ja ganz hübsch aus!

"The
The botanic gardens are worth a visit. Wir besuchen den Botanischen Garten von Kopenhagen.

"Just
Just before sunset everything is ablaze. Kurz vor Schließzeit in der Abendsonne.

"Lila
Lila Hibiskus!!

"Jurassic
Jurassic Park’s birdcage? The architects from the turn of the century sure knew how to build nice! Hey, we finally made it to the tropics after all 😉 Ist das nicht toll??

Flowers without end, this is just one example, not to bore you after all.

"Victoria
Victoria amazonica – legend has it that these plants can carry a human, albeit a very small one. Victoria amazonica – Amazonas Riesenseerose

"Crystal
